Add After School Activity (ASA) in PowerSchool

  1. All staff are required to offer an ASA in person or virtually.
  2. Enter your After School Activity into PS directly.
  3. You can watch the video below for those directions.
  4. When you are entering your ASA, please put your exact location on campus or your Zoom link in the “Location” field.
  5. The indoor gym will be available for some non-contact sports but outdoor venues are preferred. Masks must be worn at all times.
  6. For on-campus activities, there is a maximum of 20 students per ASA.
  7. ASAs will take place on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday each week.
  8. ASA times are as follows:
    • ES: 2:30-3:15pm
    • MS/HS: 2:45-3:30
    • A later session can be added from 3:30-4:15pm as needed (in order to allow students in Service Learning programs to be involved in a sports ASA, for example).
  9. Only one teacher per ASA.  If you need additional help, we can assign a teaching assistant to help with your activity.
  10. Please ensure that your ASA falls under one of the following: Arts, Sports, STEM, or Service Learning.
  11. If you have a Service Learning (SL) activity that has been running all year, we can copy over your information from Session 1 AND add your current students to your roster.  Please send an email if you would like us to add your SL activity.  Just provide us with the day/time/location.
  12. Make sure you do not schedule your ASA on a day when you normally have staff or grade level meetings after school.

Screen Recordings

There are many choices for recording your screen. Here is a video on how you can use Screencastify to record your screen and then share that link with another.

Powerwash Your Chromebook

You can make your Chromebook run like new again by doing a factory reset. If you will no longer be using your device, you may want to do a factory reset.

A factory reset erases all the information on your Chromebook’s hard drive, including all the files in the Downloads folder. Before you reset, make sure to back up your files on Google Drive or an external hard drive. The factory reset won’t delete any of your files on Google Drive or external storage device.

Here is more information on a factory reset of your Chromebook.

Use Google Calendar in different time zones 🗓️

You can change your calendar time zone and create calendar events with specific time zones. This helps if you’ll be traveling when the event happens, or if you’re creating events for people in different time zones. Since we work off of the Myanmar time zone, you will have some options for changing your calendar settings to include Myanmar time and your location. You can also set individual events for Myanmar time which will show in local time on the calendar.
